Senior Cash Application Specialist

SUMMARY:

Primarily responsible for applying daily cash deposits in a timely manner.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Post lockbox, ACH and wire payments to customer accounts
  • Daily tracking of batches
  • Maintains and files payment documentation
  • Reconciliation of In-House accounts
  • Handling of Buying Groups remittances
  • Communicate with customers regarding payment questions
  • Communicate with banks regarding lock box deposit, return checks, etc.
  • Communicate with collector/debit analyst regarding payment questions
  • Assistant liaison with vendor for cash application system
  • Handle any/all cash application training
  • Scan debit memo and other cash related documents
  • Access distributor portals to download and manipulate remittance files
  • All other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years cash application/collections/customer service experience.
  • Outstanding organization and customer service skills.
  • Exhibits initiative and follow through.
  • Professional written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products. ERP, SAP, GetPaid/GetApplied experienced desired.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent attitude and team player.
