Pricing and Business Intelligence Analyst

SUMMARY:

This role is crucial in supporting the sales and marketing team with a thorough analysis of internal and external market data that leads to data driven decisions to grow incremental business and profits. It requires an in-depth understanding of the data and tools available for managing pricing and promotional strategies across various product categories and channels to market.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Own, implement and maintain pricing and business intelligence tools, ensuring all data is up to date and accurate
  • Conceptualize, build and maintain reports, models, and dashboards around key metrics to monitor and ultimately improve product margins and sales performance across customers
  • Simplify and automate reporting through building of solutions
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on pricing data and pricing methodologies
  • Maintain, monitor and enforce minimum advertised pricing online
  • Determine and identify market potential, market degradation and sales territory performance
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to monitor and analyze competitor pricing strategies, promotions, and market trends to recommend appropriate pricing adjustments or actions to maintain competitiveness
  • Identify opportunities for growth, profit maximization, and improvements through pricing strategies and tactics


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree require in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field
  • 2+ years of professional experience in Revenue Management, Pricing, or Category Management
  • Highly proficient in tools used for data analysis and reporting (SQL, Excel, Access, Tableau)
  • Experience with database management and performance optimization
  • Experience translating large amounts of data into applicable insights and strategies
  • Strong communication skills, hands-on mentality and team spirit
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with IT, finance, sales, product management teams
  • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
